# wp_options table missing

 * One of my clients reported their site was down. It comes up with the dreaded 
   database error page. Looking in phpmyadmin, I noticed the wp_options table is
   not there. I tried importing the wp_options table from another site, and then
   attempted to repair the database, but it returns an error saying the table does
   not exist. Any ideas anyone?

 * You can see the table in the database via phpMyAdmin yet WP says it’s still missing?
   It possibly has the incorrect privileges assigned to it. Determine what the user
   and privileges are for a known good table and make them the same for the imported
   table.
 * This is kind of sounding like the site had been hacked. If so, the site likely
   has other problems beyond a missing table.
