 * Help!
 * I’m installing WordPress, and having trouble after I FTP the files to the Web
   site. The host meets all applicable requirements, I’ve set up a new MySQL database
   and have entered appropriate names into WP_configy.php, have uploaded that file
   and all the others in their appropriate directories…
 * but, when I try to EXEC ‘install.php’ via FTP I end up having a source file (
   assume error file) popping up in WordPad telling me that there is no WP_config.
   php. There IS one, and I’ve tried it both in its original directory, and in the
   wp-admin directory as well. Keep getting the error.
 * Can anyone help? Thx!

 * You’re visiting install.php in your browser, right? You don’t do the install
   through ftp…. and wordpad shouldn’t have a thing to do with the install.

 * And, always remember file names are case sensetive and there is very much a difference
   between – and _.

 * Just a note about filename(s): it is `wp-config.php` not WP-configy.php!
    And
   as vkaryl said: don’t “EXEC ‘install.php’ via FTP” – just run it in your browser.

 * Thanks. I was trying to EXECUTE within the FTP software… everything worked fine
   from the browser. EXCEPT… I can’t post or edit comments. Think I’ll read the
   Installing WordPress link above. Thanks again to all.
