  • Resolved Davide

    Login page shows this error message:
    [type] => 8
    [message] => Undefined variable: error
    [file] => /var/www/vhosts/
    [line] => 1072

    Code block referenced appears to be:
    * Filters whether to print the call to wp_attempt_focus() on the login screen.
    * @since 4.8.0
    * @param bool $print Whether to print the function call. Default true.
    if ( apply_filters( ‘enable_login_autofocus’, true ) && ! $error ) { ?>

    It is strange because I have WP-Cerber set up on a near identical site using identical WP-Cerber settings with no issue.

    I have deactivated and deleted WP-Cerber then reinstalled and this does not fix the issue.

    Any suggestions on how to debug and fix this, please?

    I’ve ho idea what’s going on. I suspect that some other plugin or a theme is the cause. WP Cerber has nothing to do with the error you’ve shown.

    Hi! How is it going?

    Hi Gioni,

    You were absolutely right, it was nothing to do with WP-Cerber.

    The issue was eventually traced to a problem with A2 hosting:
    >>>The PHP issue on the server has been fixed and WP-Admin on all of your sites is available now.

    There was an issue with CageFS on the server, causing PHP problems. This has been fixed by our system engineers and everything is back up now.<<<

    It seems that I was an early adopter of the A2 Managed WordPress Hosting plan which was launched months before it was technically stable and even today (around 6 months later) I am far from convinced that the A2 plan is fit for production websites.
