WP5.6 and Lightbox 2.3.1 incompatible

    I had an auto-update of the core WP to 5.6 and RL to 2.3.1. Thereafter:

    – lightbox pages on the live site worked
    – no Gallery or Lightbox menu entries on the WP menu
    – going to Plug-ins/Lightbox and selecting Settings gave me “Sorry, that page is no accessible” (or similar wording)

    I put a recent backup on with WP 5.5.3 and RL 2.2.3.1 and all works properly again.

    Not sure which one of these broke it, probably 5.6 is my guess, judging from the other issues.

    Will have to delay my 5.6 security update until this is fixed. Hope you can fix soon, many thanks

    Additional: have now established that RL 2.3.1 and WP 5.5.3 work, so the problem was WP 5.6

    We also had a problem with WP 5.6 where the whole website would trigger the Lightbox to open with nothing on it, just a back screen.

    Had the same issue with this plugin.
    Please deactivate it, purge your caches (if applicable) and reactivate the plugin.
    All plugin settings will be preserved, the settings are accessible again and the “Gallery” entry should reappear in the admin (side) menu.
