 * WordPress 2.6 only allows the use of default permalinks??
 * I changed to the default ones and it works! But I want to use my custom ones,
   how do I fix this?

 * Back to your pretty permalinks? Perhaps it’s just a matter with (re)rewriting
   htaccess. I had that some time ago, changed to default and back to “pretty” and
   all was fine.

 * adzeds – Depends on what you are using as the custom ones?

 * I have this problem too…
 * My permalinks were set as:
 * [http://www.bomb.org.uk/index.php/2008/07/sample-post/](http://www.bomb.org.uk/index.php/2008/07/sample-post/)
 * And were working perfectly this morning. Then, after update they stopped working
   and I’ve had to default to ‘ugly’ permalinks.
 * If I re-enable the pretty permalinks, they just show a ‘not found’ error.
 * Any ideas anyone?

 * Did you try rewriting your .htaccess file? Also, did you have any problem logging
   in? I just upgraded and now cannot login!

 * hey01oh, are you having the same problem we’re having with logging in? (see:

 * I’m having the same problem with my site after upgrade. I get errors if I keep
   pretty permalinks but I also get errors if I try to use the default. Has anyone
   found a fix for this – other than the index.php fix?
