“wp wc update” not working for me

    After I did the instructed database update via the command line as instructed by the plugin, I get the following messages as response: 

    wp wc update
Encontradas 2 actualizaciones (wc_update_650_approved_download_directories, wc_update_651_approved_download_directories)
Actualizando la base de datos  100% [=================================================================================================================================] 0:00 / 0:00
Success: Actualizaciones de 2 completas. La versión de la base de datos es 6.4.0

    However when I visited /wp-admin/admin.php?page=wc-admin I still see: 

    WooCommerce database update required
WooCommerce has been updated! To keep things running smoothly, we have to update your database to the newest version. The database update process runs in the background and may take a little while, so please be patient. Advanced users can alternatively update via WP CLI.

    Again the same instruction. So I do it again on the command line: 

    wp wc update
Encontradas 2 actualizaciones (wc_update_650_approved_download_directories, wc_update_651_approved_download_directories)
Actualizando la base de datos  100% [=================================================================================================================================] 0:00 / 0:00
Success: Actualizaciones de 2 completas. La versión de la base de datos es 6.4.0

    Apparently my previous attempt did not work, but following attempts give the same response. This is not getting me any further. It’s broken.

    I am forced to do it through the web gui, which is a slower process, waiting for CRON etc. Can this please be fixed in future releases? Or for lack of a fix, could you please remove the wp-cli instruction instead, until it works again?

    This makes me doubt the functionality of the “wp wc update” alternative all together because apparently it is not being tested.

    Hi @erniecom

    “wp wc update” hasn’t been reported to be not working. Do you see the same behavior if you go for it when all plugins except WooCommerce are disabled and a basic theme such as Storefront is active?

    I deactivated all the plugins except woocommerce and changed to theme twentytwentytwo and I get identical results.

    The wp-cli tutorial explains what I did I already. What the command returns is different though. According to the example of the tutorial in my case I would expect the following lines but they were missing :

    Calling update function: wc_update_650_approved_download_directories
    Calling update function: wc_update_651_approved_download_directories

    These update functions are simply not called and consequently the db version stays at 6.4.0 as you can read in my original post.

    For better assistance, please share your WooCommerce error logs and System Status on this thread so we can take a look at your configuration and check the issue further:

    System Status: You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”. Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

    Error Log: Share a copy of any fatal error log found under WooCommerce > System Status > Logs (if available).

    There are many logs but none is on the dates I ran the command and are related to payment transactions which is not our case.
