WP Users vs Forum Members

I plan to replace my simplepress forum, migrating data using Go2wpForo. Currently, my forum members are a separate group from wp users. When I activate wpForo, it shows wp users, which include anyone who has ever left a comment on my blog, to be members of the new forum. This is concerning because many wp users have separate forum profiles. My site is 15 years old so there a lot of cross-over.

Is there a way to exclude wp users. I don’t really know what I’m doing but what I’d like to do is import the simplepress data, only.

Hi @epppppp,

Please note, all wpForo users are the same WordPress users and have the same WordPress user roles. There is no difference between wpForo and WordPress users, they are the same objects.

However, wpForo has an extended user permission system with full control over all user actions in each forum separately, wpForo comes with its own Usergroup and Forum Access system. These are a set of permissions that are attached to each form.
