# WP Uploading to the Wrong Folder

 * I move WordPress for a website to a new folder on my hosting account and everything
   is working great except WP is still uploading new media files to the old folder.
   I can see the media files on my hosting account. Any suggestions are much appreciated!

 * Try resetting your permalink structure – just go to Settings >Permalinks – you
   don’t need to actually make any changes, just click the “Save” button.
 * This will often fix problems where WP is confused about where things are located,
   as it forces WP to re-examine and save path information.

 * No luck, but your suggestion makes sense. Any other ideas on how to fix this 
   problem?

 * Fixed it. I just realized you can manually fix the upload directory under Settings
   >Media and simply update the “Store uploads in this folder”.
