WP Update

    Hi there
    as a new site owner (finally with full control) I’m little scared from messing things up.
    im using version 4.4.2 and just noticed that there is newer version.
    the reason for this post is cause i saw that it say my site will be down during updates.. so I decided not to take the risk (took some time and money to get my site to where it is now..)
    but just now joined the forum community so i figured it not gonna hurt asking someone who know better then me? is it safe to just press upgrade now or is there anything i need to do before , or maybe just leave current version running? would love to know what you think

    @bulldoglocks : Before update 4.4.2 to 4.5 check your theme and plugin issue beacuse of wordpress have some function deprecated so may be issue generate.

    Please test on replica of your site then integrate.

    Now you need remove update notification so active this plugin.

    I would suggest the following before making an upgrade:

    1. Check if your developer has not modified any code files or any update will removed.
    2. Check if your theme and plugins are compatible with the version you wish to upgrade.
    3. Make sure to have a complete backup of your website to restore back in case of any issues.

    If all the above are take care properly then upgrading to latest version should not be a problem.
