[Resolved] WP Unusable after Post Update
Hi, I’ve installed WP 2.2.2 on RHEL4 and have been running it with no problems for a few days. However, when I attempt to update an existing post and “Save”, WP hangs and becomes completely unresponsive regardless henceforth. Restart of the machine doesn’t even help.
This is the second time this has happened–the last time, I had to do a complete reinstall. A sysadmin who looked at my system at that time said that there were a ton of spurious mysql instances that got created and also a suspicious wp-cron.php file which they said had some sort of poorly coded loop or something.
I’ve made only superficial presentation changes to the installation and no system level changes to the application so I have no idea what the heck is going wrong.
The main page shows “connection refused” (thoughthole.com) but when attempting to access one of the inner admin pages (thoughthole.com/wp-admin/edit.php), it just shows a blank page.
Thanks in advance
