Support » Plugin: WP UI - Tabs, Accordions, Sliders » WP UI – Tabs, Accordions, Sliders: tabs do not rotate

  • I am using tabs in a widget:

    [wptabs rotate=”6000″]
    [wptabtitle]UK[/wptabtitle]
    [wptabcontent]155446365655[/wptabcontent]

    [/wptabs]

‘WP UI – Tabs, Accordions, Sliders’ is the only plugin what I am using on the site at this very moment and I cannot let it rotate.

Regarding to other threads other people are also experiencing the same problem. Will this problem of the plugin be fixed/supported? It would be nice because otherwise this is a great plugin.

Any help, answer is much appreciated. Thank you.

The rotate option was removed form the jQuery UI main code, If you use that feature at large, I can write a custom rotate next version. Meanwhile, replacing the code from old version of jQuery UI might work.

    Hi Kavin,

    Thanks for your response.

I personally chose this plugin because of this very feature. Rotating tabs is important on my site and regarding to the description the plugin was able to do this.

Could you please help me, where can I download the old version of jQuery UI from and which file should I try to replace?

    Many thanks.

@sojtve, I would recommend against replacing the jQuery, the reason it comes with WordPress and doing so would break so many features in the admin and front side.

I can include this feature into WP UI again, bundled into a mini-update. Please watch this thread till tomorrow, I will let you know.

Thanks Kavin for your help, it is much appreciated.

Feature is added in the latest GitHub commit, Please download, verify and let me know.

    Direct download – https://github.com/kavingray/WP-UI/zipball/master

    Thanks for the patience.

It works perfectly well, there are no conflicts with other plugins at all. I am very grateful for your help. I think your plugin is great, it is very powerful and easy to use. Thank you.

    Hi Kavingray,

Thanks for the plugin. Overall, it works great. But a couple of issues. First, it does not work in IE, as I pointed out in an earlier comment today, and I am not able to implement the fix suggested in the thread as I can’t find that line in the code.

Second, it does not autorotate. I downloaded from the link above, and attempted to install the zip file, but I got a fatal error, as follows,

Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class wpui in /nas/wp/www/cluster-1346/testgfp/wp-content/plugins/kavingray-wp-ui-e62f478/wp-ui.php on line 45

    Please help.

    Best regards,

    Ganaxi

    Hi, an update,

I did manage to download the wp-ui.php file from GitHub, and upload it to my server. However, even with that new file, the tabs do not auto-rotate.

Any directions on how to fix this would be appreciated, including especially on the earlier comment about IE display problems, as in here,

    Hi, an update,

I ran my page through a Markup Validation, and a specific error, below, may be an indication of the problem:

Error Line 981, Column 120: No space between attributes.
    …ui-tabs-horizontal tab-rotate-4000″ data-style=”wpui-green”data-rotate=”4000″ >

    Thanks,

    Ganaxi

It did not rotate in my setup either but I got it to work:

    1) install the last version of the plugin normally (Version 0.8.8 now)
    2) download the update: (https://github.com/kavingray/WP-UI/zipball/master)
    3) Use ftp and only overwrite the wp-ui.php file + js folder
(find it here in your WP installation: wp-content/plugins/wp-ui/)

    Now its rotating here 😉
