Thought it was pretty cool that there's some honesty in the GreyMatter forums. In answer to a query about moving from Movable Type to GreyMatter, the honest answer was, "No, what you need is WordPress."

    Interesting!

I was a GM user for a while (until they admitted the code was all but dead and that WP already did everything they would of wanted GM to some day do.) Needless to say I now use WP and couldn’t be happier. I am new to the forums and was wondering if the comment in the first post in this thread “it was pretty cool that there's some honesty in the GreyMatter forums. Is/has there been a WP – GM rivalry? Or was it just an observation I was reading too much into :)
    Thanks.

Well we never allow for anything being better than WordPress. Why should we ? It rocks :)

There's never been a GM/WP rivalry..... most of what I have seen has between WP and MT. "MT does this, MT does that, MT does this other too..... why can't WP?" etc.
I think the comment was more of a surprised observation that a competing product would send people here. That would be like Microsoft telling people that they should buy Linux instead since it's more stable and does things better. What's next? Dogs marrying cats, living in harmony?
