[Resolved] WP to Twitter only posts for Admin

  • My issue:

The plugin only sends a Tweet if the admin (me) is the author of the post. Only “Update when a post is published” is chosen.

    Settings:

Text for new post updates: #title# #url# #account#
    All “Special Cases” are unchecked
Authors have individual Twitter accounts is checked

    Permissions: Author, Admin, Admin, Admin

So basically I have it set so that it will send a tweet for all new posts, but only the admin posts are sending the Tweet. I want every post to send a Tweet, without the post authors needing to do anything to make it happen. How should it be set to do this?

I’m assuming that you listed the permissions in the order they’re listed in the settings page, but correct me if that’s not the case. If the permission “The lowest user group that can send Twitter updates” is set to admin, then only administrators will send Tweets. That permission setting controls what levels of user are able to send a Tweet. You need to lower that permission so that it encompasses the level of your authors.

    Best,
    Joe
