# WP to public_html

 * I have uploaded wordpress to hostgator via filezilla. I copied it from my desktop
   to the ‘public_html’ folder as instructed. But when i enter my domain [flattopfishn.com](http://www.flattopfishn.com)
   wordpress does not show up. Please help!!!

 * That is because you have place holder check if you have index.html or default.
   html you need to rename or delete the file

 * Uploaded pre-made wp site via [http://ftp.](http://ftp.). Hostgator hosting
    
   Install.php did not work. modified config-sample.php as per “5 minute install”
   instructions 1. databse name 2. user name 3. user password saved as config.php
   refreshed filezilla and uploaded new config.php Install.php still does not work

 * Hey, thank you for your help. The problem was I didn’t transfer the name servers
   to Hostgator from Namecheap
