Support » Plugin: WP Tiles » wp-tiles specify overall container size for tiled gallery

  • Hello,
I’m not sure what happened when I tried to enter this question, perhaps it didn’t work.

I really like this plugin and especially like the ability to layout the grid.

Is there any way to specify the overall size of the tiled gallery? For a single standard non-gallery image, one can drag the corners to set the size or specify a percentage to increase/decrease.

From what I understand, the size is currently determined by the arrangement of cells in the grid layout, that is, ABBC will be wider than ABC, as well as the file size of each image affects the entire tile gallery. So, if all of my images are very large files, then my tiled gallery will be large as well.

I had hoped that thumbnails would be used to display the gallery and then upon hover over individual tiles, the specific image selected would yield a larger view or a separate tab with a larger view.

Probably I am not making use of the short code capabilities. Short of reducing the file size of each image, is there anything else I can currently do to reduce the size of the overall tiled gallery container?

    Thank you!
