i built a website for my client using a child theme of Nervaq. their company’s name is GEM Asset Management, and i named the child theme “GEM Asset Management” in styles.css

now, WordPress is prompting me to update the child theme from 1.0 (the version number i put in the child-theme styles.css) to 1.0.7. – which didn’t make any sense to me, but if i click on the “View details for version 1.0.7” button, it takes me to the page for a completely different theme that is titled “GEM”.

any idea how i can get WP to understand that my child theme is not the GEM theme by Venkat Raj, and get it to stop prompting me for updates?

update: i have already tried renaming the child theme, removing any instance of the name “GEM” from the head of styles.css.

UPDATE: i figured out that it’s the actual name of the theme’s folder that is the identifying factor. i changed the name of my child theme’s folder – problem solved.
