• I would like to turn some text into a link. I highlight it and click add link. I add the link and click OK, but the text does not become a clickable link.

Please let me know how to convert text in a table to a clickable link.

BTW, WP Tables Reloaded is awesome! Thanks for sharing it with us.

  • Hi,

the link creation works slightly different.

You will need to know the URL and the text of the link (that’s what you currently have been highlighting).
Instead of highlighting it, copy it into the clipboard (i.e. press Ctrl-C or right click -> copy).

Then click “Add link”, enter the URL of the link, and in the next step paste the text the link shall have (press Ctrl-V). Then the HTML is created for you. Now you can click into a cell and the link with the correct text will be appended to that cell.
Then it might be necessary to remove the raw text (that did not become a link).

    Hope this helps 🙂

    Best wishes,
    Tobias

    Hi,

you could also have a look at the first Extension to WP-Table Reloaded, presented on my website:
    http://tobias.baethge.com/2009/12/extension-1-url-to-link-conversion/

That does not use a link text as you want, but makes a URL clickable.
Maybe it is interesting to you.

    Regards,
    Tobias
