• Can WP Super Cache hide or relocate wp-config.php files?

Because I couldn’t find my wp-config recently, so I created a new one, to make changes to wp memory limit. After creating it I received a notification from WP Super Cache that something changed in wp-config and I have to refresh the page, I did it and then I wp-config disappeared again. Memory limit has changed, but I cannot find the file anymore.

Do you have any suggestions what is wrong and how I can find wp-config?

    Thank you.

  • No, the plugin can’t change where it goes. It’s usually in the base directory of your site, or maybe in the parent directory.

I can’t find it anywhere, and I didn’t encounter such behavior on any of my websites before. Can Autopimize mess with it? I also use it for minification. Or maybe CDN? Would appreciate any ideas, cause I’m quite baffled.

I don’t know, sorry. If your site still works then it’s there somewhere. If you can ssh into your server then the following should find it if you start from a parent directory:

    find . -name "wp-config.php" -print
