WP Super Cache

  • Question-

We’ve been LOVING this plugin. It must have increased our load time by 1000%.

However, lately we’ve been noticing a time out kind of issue when you publish or Save a post. The Post still gets published and saved, but it’s telling me that I’ve lost connection. Then I have to refresh. We have a lot of contributors, so I don’t want them to think they broke the site.

I would imagine that this is related to the cache plugin. Let me know what to inspect- I’d appreciate it.

    Big problem. Please help!

We’re having two problems which I think are also related to WP Super Cache. Since implementing the cache- the blog edreach.us has been lightning fast- that’s great!

    However two things are happening.
    1. Our feed us updating almost instantaneously, which doesn’t give a publisher much time to make a correction if they make a mistake. We’re about to be adding some big name publishers to this blog in a couple weeks, and I don’t know what’s happening there. We can’t find anyone who knows this plugin.

    2. When we hit “publish” or “save” sometimes the blog goes offline for about a minute. That’s a BIG problem for a multi-author blog. No 404 error or anything. My thought was that the pre-load is starting when we make changes and for that second it goes offline.

    Please advise. Thanks!!!!

If you post in the plugin dedicated sub-forum, the developer will be more likely to see your question and reply –

    Thanks WPyogi. We’ve done that.

I know that they’re seeing our messages, but it’s been over two weeks now, and we just want a point in the right direction.

This is the sub forum WPyogi is referring to. Post via this link instead and that at least will get to the correct sub-forum.

Once you have done that we’ll close this one.

Also keep in mind: bumps to topics get deleted when found. If you have something to add then that’s helpful but if you’re just posting to move the topic up then that will get deleted.

    Thanks-

I’ve been using the WP forums for 3 years now. I’ve almost always found great responses and good service. We have never had to track down help like this before.

Volunteer support is always a “best effort”. 😉 Hopefully that topic will get the response you’re looking for.
