 * I use WP statistics 8.3.1 (Soufi/Ross). Why so different from Google analytics.
I have seen the old thread from a few years ago re Javascript but have things
   changed? Thanks. Geoff

 * Yes, I already have. I realise that everywhere I look the numbers are different
but the disparity between Google and WP Stats is enormous. I have heard that
others say that Google is inaccurate – something to do with Javascript – but
that doesn’t help when potential business partners use Google and thus don’t
   rate you.
I don’t have the time or knowledge to get into the technicalities,
I just want to find out why this happens and what I can do about it, if anything.
When I quote my WP stats they don’t believe it as they are so reliant on Google.
I expect many others experience this. Thanks for any advice. Geoff

 * There is no perfect way for calculating hits, Google Analytics and WP Statistics
take very different approaches to it.
 * If your business partners are more comfortable with Google, then that relationship
is probably more important than the technical differences between analytics.
 * Any discussion beyond what’s in the FAQ about the differences will inherently
be highly technical and possibly even site specific.
