• Hello, my first post here. Few months ago I had big ddos attack, so I transferred to other hosting using WP clone. After that my google clicks dropped dramatically in wp statistics. I know its the goal of hackers, but it does not affected my position in google or click. I can still see same results in search console or analytics, but they are not counted in WP statistic anymore. I have no idea what could be wrong here… Maybe you had some experience in this and could give me some advises? Check the image:

    Thanks for any help.

  • Hi, sometimes GA shows the total amount of visitors while WP statistics shows unique visitors. Check to make sure you’re looking at the same metric on both.

Hi, I am sure its not total, it is click from google. Because total that day would be ~300 unique. And clearly it does not match with google… I know because before this, i had around 450-500 a day total, which is exactly the number that is missing from google searches.. 🙁

Sorry, I misunderstood your first post. I thought you were saying that the number you see on GA and WP Statistics does not match.

But now I understand that your traffic has dropped.

but it does not affected my position in google or click

I’m not sure how your statistics dropped if your position stayed the same. I have heard of rare instances where page rank fell for a day or two after changing your IP but it always returns to normal.

No no, statistics does not dropped when you add the missing numbers from google. Its just that they do not match in GA and WP…

Hi, in that case, you should ask your question in the support forum for that plugin as they’ll be able to best assist you. You can find the forum here: https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/wp-statistics
