I installed the plugin and started to clone for the stage environment. It was going along great but then I ran out of disk space on my server so it could not conclude. Now I cannot see the staging site in the dashboard and I cannot remove it via SFTP (file permissions) I also cannot change file permissions for only the staging site folder. All my other folders/files can have their permissions changed and are editable. The only thing I cannot do is remove the stage environment from my site now. It is taking up almost the whole drive and I need to know what the safe steps are to remove this failed stage site.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Helo @jordysge,

you should be able to delete any file you want with your sFTP connection so I struggle to understand why this does not work for your. The files/folders created by WP Staging get the regular permissions 644/755

Did you already try to use a file manager plugin to delete the unfinished staging site subfolder instead using sFTP?

I’ll help you to work this out.

Thank you for your quick response @renehermi I appreciate it.

I ended up contacting my host. They had some issue they needed to fix so that the permissions could be altered. Then their phpMyAdmin was down which they are trying to fix. Once they get that fixed I will clean up the database.

Thank you again! I was able to remove the folder from my disk.

    Hi @jordysge

thank you very much for the feedback.

I am glad to hear that it works now.

Please write to me again if something still does not work as intended.

Btw. You can lower the size of your staging site by excluding old image folders like /wp-content/uploads/2015

this could help you to create a staging site when you do not have enough free disk space to hold a complete cloning instance.
