In the options of the Plugin WP-SlimStat (current version) when I regulate who can view the reports (“Roles and capabilities

Enter the lowest capability that users need to have in order to access all the stats (read is the default value). If this field is empty, all users (including subscribers) will have access to the reports.”) and put in “Author” because that should be the lowest capability one should have to view the reports (I’m the admin) then I don’t have access on SlimStat statistics anymore. I can still edit the preferences because I put myself in the point below (“Users who can configure WP SlimStat”). What’s the problem? Has anyone encountered the same?

Thought maybe it’s the spelling but I put the name in just exactly like the role is named here (“Author”). If I put in my exact role, “Administrator”, the same thing happens and I cannot access the statistics.

  • Hi there, I know this can be confusing, but my plugin clearly states capabilities, not ROLES. You are entering roles into the field, not capabilities, like edit_themes, edit_plugins, etc 🙂

PS: Don’t forget to vote for my plugin! And to change the status of this request to resolved.

Could you please change the status of this request to resolved?

    Thanks,
    Camu
