  • I am not a WordPress user, but as a houseblogger, I read many others’ blogs including many based on WordPress. It took me a long time to realize why sometimes my comments just never showed up on certain people’s blogs – they were all based on WordPress. I worked with a couple of the folks who have WP-based blogs to figure out why my comments went directly to Spam and we figured out that without any question it was because the URL I listed was based on LiveJournal. As long as I listed a different site or no site at all, the comments went through just fine (so it wasn’t the email, the IP, or anything else). But if ANYone posts to their blogs and puts in ANY livejournal url, it’s marked as SPAM.

This is just SO not cool.

May I presume that this is a BUG that will be fixed and not company policy?!?

WordPress has no spam filtering by default. It does come with Akismet, which could be filtering your messages, but not all (or even most) WordPress sites use Akismet.
