I read the post that WP Security Scan and Website Defender WordPress are the same thing?

    http://wordpress.org/support/topic/what-is-the-difference-between-wp-security-scan-and-websitedefender-wordpress?replies=2

Then my question is why have WP Security Scan when Website Defender WordPress does all what WP Security Scan can do plus more (Secure WordPress http://wordpress.org/plugins/secure-wordpress)?

Wouldn't that be obvious to just go with Website Defender over WP Security Scan?

When would there be a case we should prefer WP Security Scan over Website Defender when WD is provides better security?

Also, I'm confused if Website Defender WordPress is supposed to be the combined of Secure WordPress + WP Security Scan = Website Defender WordPress...

Why are there less features and options in Website Defender WordPress?

(e.g. Website Defender WordPress doesn't have the "Scanner" and "Options" as WP Security Scan)

    Hello, Ipex Media

The WebsiteDefender WordPress Security was created to promote and provide users with an easy to use interface for interacting with the WebsiteDefender scanning service. Since we have disabled the scanning service, we strongly recommend you to switch to: Acunetix WP Security - http://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-scan/ as this plugin will be constantly updated with more security features.

    Regards,
    Acunetix
