I was looking for a way to auto-suggest search terms and found WP Search Suggest. This is an amazing plugin…however, I’m having an issue. The plugin uses it’s own css file, which is preventing me from styling it as I’d like. I tried to reference the classes in my css file to override the one’s from the plugin…but it doesn’t work. Is there any way to use my stylesheet or deregister theirs?

I could just change the css file the plugin comes with, but that is not an upgrade-safe solution. Any ideas?

  • Figured it out!! Had I known it was going to be this easy, I wouldn’t have asked the question. All I did was deregister the style 🙂

If you’d like to deregister the plugin styles just copy the following into your functions.php file:

Please Note: Don’t forget to copy the plugin style names into your css file…or else the plugin won’t work properly (these can be found in the “css” folder, located in the root of the plugin!

    Wow, this is awesome!
People liking my plugin so much, the actually take the time to make it a perfect fit for their needs. I couldn’t ask for a better compliment!

    Thank you!
