# WP-PostViews hacked

 * Hello,
 * We display the views of the posts on our wordpress site with WP-Postviews. Since
   today the number of views for one post on our site automatically increases by
   the **hundreds** in a short time (after half an hour: **more than 1,000 hits**!!)
   
   However the stats indicate that nobody visited our site during that time. The
   postview plugin is clearly being hacked. We have disabled it for now. However
   we would like our views back, counting correctly. Is there anyone with the same
   experience? Or someone who knows how to stop this disgusting, criminal intrusion
   without having to disable the plugin for ever and having to lose the past counting?
