WP Photo Album Plus
[resolved] WP Photo Album Plus - permalinks causing error (7 posts)

I have tried very hard to get this taken care of on my own, but to no avail.

As soon as I created a custom permalink, my albums no longer really work. I can see the album, but if I click on view photos or view slideshow, I am looped back to the album page.

I would really like to figure this out!

    This is what I know:

I am on GoDaddy Linux hosting.

I have my 404 errors redirect to my homepage (if I don't do this, custom permalinks don't work)

If I go back to default permalinks, the albums work fine.

My custom permalink is: /%category%/%postname%/ - I am willing to tweak that if it will make everything work but don't want to go back to defaults.

    Can anyone help?

Oh, here is the link to the gallery:

Also, I did inactive, delete, and reinstall the plugin after changing the permalink structure, to see if that would fix it. It didn't.

    Thanks again!

If I use semi=pretty permalinks, it works.
/index.php/%category%/%postname%/ is what is working right now.
But if there is a way to resolve with full pretty permalinks I would appreciate the input - thanks!

I looked into it, but i can not find it. The links that wppa+ produces are correct as far as i can see. So i do really not know what goes wrong. Sorry

I set the permalink structure of my test and demo site to /%category%/%postname%/, and it works without any problems. I am running there a pre-release of wppa+ 2.5.0, so either there is something wrong in your site or i fixed it without being aware of it...

Please post here when you verified this, than i will set it back to standard permalinks

I am on an older php version so the 2.5.0 install won't work for me, I am going to check the code mentioned in another thread and if that gets 2.5.0 to install I will test and report - thanks!

OK I was able to upgrade but the issue persists; it has to be my side, perhaps the php version. Thanks for looking into it though!
