# WP Patch Day, Calling all plugin writers…

 * **August 1st is WP Patch Day!**
    If you’ve ever written a plugin, this is your
   chance to give back to the WP core. Read more about it at: [http://wiki.wordpress.org/WP-PatchDay](http://wiki.wordpress.org/WP-PatchDay)
   Basically the idea is to “adopt” a bug from the bug database, and submit a patch
   by August 1st. You can sign up on the Wiki page.
