Try updating and/or changing your permalinks by visiting Administration > Settings > Permalinks and clicking on Save Changes.
If that doesn’t resolve, switch to the WordPress Default theme to see if the problem is resolved.
link?
theme?
check the forum for ‘pagination’
http://codex.wordpress.org/Template_Tags/query_posts#Pagination_Parameters
to get the $paged variable, you could use:
<?php $paged = (get_query_var(‘paged’)) ? get_query_var(‘paged’) : 1; ?>

It’s a custom coded theme.
@alchymyth. I don;t get it. When I click on “next posts”, the URL shows /page/2, but posts are same as homepage.
And, other themes are working fine.
Please paste all the code from the theme template file (probably index.php) that is displaying those posts into a pastebin such as wordpress.pastebin.com, and report the link back here. Maybe someone can spot your problem. Thanks.
Page.php is for Pages so should be no pagination there.
Single.php is for single post views so there would be no pagination there.
As for theme.php, if that is what is displaying those posts, then this code:
$the_query = new WP_Query('cat=-'. $ex_feat . ',-' . $ex_vid . '&showposts=' . $showposts . '&orderby=post_date&order=desc');
should be
$paged = (get_query_var('paged')) ? get_query_var('paged') : 1;
$the_query = new WP_Query('cat=-'. $ex_feat . ',-' . $ex_vid . '&showposts=' . $showposts . '&orderby=post_date&order=desc&paged='.$paged);
If necessary, look for similar constructs in your other templates and fix those.
If you paid for that theme request a partial refund 😉
^^Wow..Works like a charm.
Thanks a lot for the help.
