WP on GoDaddy

    Hi,

    I just tried to install WP 2.0.4 but I got this message:
    “Your PHP installation appears to be missing the MySQL which is required for WordPress.” I’m pretty sure I’ve set wp-config.php correctly.

    I’m trying to do it on GoDaddy’s free hosting (comes with new domain) with no success. Is there anything I can do to fix this, or is it related to GoDaddy’s hosting?

    Click your godaddy tag up there for answers (or search for ‘godaddy’).

    There’s your problem.
    You need to purchase at least their economy plan (with PHP, not Windows) which costs $3.95 a month (you usually can get a discount when you buy a year in advance).

    You don’t have access to a MySQL database when you’re on the free plan as far as I’m aware, so I’m not sure how you could’ve set up wp-config.php properly.
