WP not putting images in folders…

    When I add an image and designate it for a featured image WP says it has put it in a folder (for example 2011/05) but WP has in fact not created that folder and subsequently the image does not show as a featured image or as a thumbnail.

    This is the last folder that WP created for the images:

    /blog/wp-content/uploads/2011/01

    Any suggestions?

    This has been occurring since the beginning of this year and even with the latest version of WP it is still occurring…

    Check your uploads path in Settings-> Media.

    Thanks for your response. I have been trying to get this answered since January and you are the first person to understand the issue.

    It looks OK:

    D:\Hosting\4427690\html\blog/wp-content/uploads

    Why does WP say it is creating a folder (i.e. 2011/05) and then it does not create the folder and the images don’t go into a folder?

    Upon further examination I changed the setting to the default:

    wp-content/uploads

    Now everything works. So simple.

    I went through a lot of people to try to solve this.
