WP Movie Ratings is a wordpress plugin that makes rating movies very easy. At its core is a Firefox bookmarklet, which combined with Internet Movie Database (imdb.com) and a little bit of AJAX magic lets you rate movies with just 1 click. Also, there is no need to write the title of the movie as it is automatically fetched from imdb. Optionally, you can also write a short review for each movie. The output from this plugin is a list of recently watched movies, which you can put anywhere on your blog (it’s a matter of one simple function call from the template). Published movie reviews are hReview compliant.

I get this error when I try to activate it?
Parse error: parse error, unexpected $end in D:\Development\WordPress\wp-content\plugins\wp_movie_ratings\movie.class.php on line 185
Which PHP version are you running? It requires at least 5.0 and judging by the error it might have something to do with it.
I’m running 4.4.2.
Are you planning on making it 4.x compatible? Because the minimum requirement for WordPress is 4.2.
I’ll include it in my TODO list. The code in this plugin uses object oriented features of PHP5 and I have not yet dealt with code that needed to be both PHP4 and 5 compatible. I’ll have a look at that when I have some time.
Btw, if you know PHP it shouldn’t be that hard to change the code so it works *only* in PHP4.*
works in php 4 on my server… just dont know how to delete entries.
sdenike: It’s very interesting that it works on PHP4 🙂 As for the ability to edit/delete entries it is planned in v1.1, which is to be released in a not to distant future (2-3 weeks at most).
Yeah it works fine on my server which is running PHP Version 4.4.1 …
