    Hi Chad,

I bought the wp member user list extension, and I’m having a little bit of trouble whit it. The Header in the output of the list is a link. Can I set the link somewhere? Or can the link be removed? I want the header but not the link (if I can’t set it).

    Thank you,

    Mark

    Hi Mark,

The header link will be based on whether you set up a detailed profile page or not. This is based on the profile page setting in the User List settings.

Note that this is different from the profile page setting in the main plugin’s options – that refers to the current user’s profile for them to update their info. In the case of the User List, this refers to a more detailed view of the user (which is optional).

The documentation has some information on this along with screenshots:

Also note that this forum is specifically for free support of the WP-Members plugin. If you’re a premium support subscriber or a have a premium extension (like User List), that should be directed through the https://rocketgeek.com site. There are a number of reasons for that, the simplest of which is that you’ll get a much quicker response as that is monitored for priority.

    Hi,

IN the user list settup documentation, I see some examples of how to settup the profile, but in Profile page settup, there is none.

PS: I can’t exces that area because I have to complete payment (which I did offcource for the User List extension, but can’t exces the forum or any other section).

Sorry about the site issues – it may be a little confusing because the site is being expanded currently so it kind of outgrew the use of Contact Form 7 that was being used. I’m presently putting in a custom process – hopefully a contact form plugin that will integrate specifically with WP-Members.

Anyway, in the meantime, you can use the regular logged out contact form for support for the premium extension that you purchased – I know it currently says not for support, and I’ll update that to be more clear – when you use that form, I do know on my end who has what.

I’ve been updating all of the documentation for all of the extensions to be more comprehensive and easier to navigate. User List is more updated now and I’ve added some examples to the profile shortcode page:
    https://rocketgeek.com/plugins/wp-members-user-list/docs/profile-page-setup/

That should help you get started. If you have trouble with it, let me know through the site.

Also, there is an update to the extension being worked on (in addition to the one that was released last week). The 2.0 version is a complete rebuild of the extension’s code. It won’t change things for existing installs (meaning, it should be seamless and backward compatible) but will include new features – one of which will be that you’ll be able to define what fields show in the profile detail from the admin panel without having to do it through the shortcode. I’m hoping to have that available in November, although it depends on how other projects fall in line as well.
