Hello, wp-members is a great plugin, it do the best thing inline registration/login/profile that no other plugin can do till now!!
I am using wp-members 2.8.1 and user-role-editor 3.9 with wordpress 3.5, created different roles and profile/registration fields.
Now, wp-members is currently able to make common fields for all roles.
Is there any possibility in wp-members with some extended code to set different registration form/profile fields for different roles?

This link is good to get working but can it be integrated in wp-members admin gui itself?
The idea how to implement is to create a dropdown in top with roles in wp-members admin option panel fields tab (http://mysite.com/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=wpmem-settings&tab=fields),
selecting a role and set/create the fields in bottom.
The fields should save along with associated role value, and it will work nicely.
Hope you get the thing. Like a feature request or addon but it will be too great if this can be implemented. It wil make wp-members awsome!!

I was hoping for this feature too. If Chad could implement it, WP-Members will be THE membership plugin!

That could be done. What you would need to do is to have all of the registration fields available and then filter out the ones that are not relevant based on what the user is registering for (i.e. their “role”).
The tricky part would be that required fields could not be marked as required in the plugin’s field manager and you would need to validate required fields with the wpmem_pre_register_data hook.

Yes I also think the way you saying will work.
I actually want to integrate this all within the admin field setting GUI so users just have to select the roles from top dropdown/checkbox and set/create fields and validations etc. in bottom. The saving will automatically should process by what you said above (checking and running custom filters in background). No manual code needed for user.
Yes it would be a work with some tricky codes (may be a addon for wp-member), but if you work and integrate it in your plugin, then it will be great for all users, because no other plugin can give this functionality!!
Wish u please work on this feature request in sooner future release of wp-members. Currently busy in other work but I also try it my own and share with you if found some great.
