Hi guys, I need some help.
I am using WP-Members to control access to the members area of my site. When testing (using a member login) I find that if I don’t logout before closing the browser when I re-access my site I am straight into the members area. When I check I can see that the login cookie has a 14 day expiry period and hasn’t been expired on browser closure.
What I am doing is to simulate some of my naive members who may not set their browsers to manage cookies.
This happens with Chrome, Firefox, IE10 and Safari, and using google, bing and yahoo as search engines. Before the tests I cleared the browser’s history and basically let it allow all cookies.
If I logout the login cookie is cleared OK. That is except with safari where you can back-button to the members area.
Any ideas how I can fix the cookie not being closed on browser closure? And on the Safari back-button?
I’m a novice at anything more than HTMl so would appreciate any help being clear and simple to follow.
