Kristin, as far as I know WP 1.3 uses a slighly altered database schema, hence that’s why you’re not getting the category.
A default title would be an interesting idea, I’ll add it on the next version I release.

works great. 2 things I’d love to see:
a) right now it always posts as admin, but I rather would post as ‘myself’ (seems that only the admin has access to the ‘secret email address?)
b) being able to assign more than just one category.
the second one is no biggie because I can add that easily later when back at the computer, but that it always posts as admin is a nuissance to me.

a) I figured out, problem was that admin and ‘me’ shared the same email address in the setup (so it always picked the first in row which happened to be admin), so I just changed one email address, and now distinctly the registerd user shows up.
b) still would be nice.
I tried this last night and everything works ok except that the posts only appear if I go to /wp-mail.php. I guess I can do that with a Cron job but I thought it should work without.
This is a great hack!
However, I’m having two problems
1 – It’s not deleting the e-mail (which makes it keep posting the same thing over and over);
2 – I’m getting these errors:
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/mgateco/public_html/maneblog/wp-includes/template-functions-category.php on line 9 (displayed at the Posts tab of the WordPress admin page, and
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/mgateco/public_html/maneblog/wp-content/plugins/showcategories.php on line 254, displayed at the front page of my blog.
Don’t know if these errors only show because I have the plugin “Show Categories” installed and active, but…
Any help on how to fix this?
I’m having the same problems with my install of this – the email isn’t being deleted and the category error. Any plans on a fix for this?

The original wp-mail.php uses the e-mail time?
