 * I have a new install of wordpress, everything is kosher except the wp-mail script.
Everytime I run it I get an error:
    ——————————- 500 – Internal server error.
There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed.——————————-
I have checked perms on the directory and they seemed ok. I even reset perms
to 755 on that file and it still fails. What I would like to know is; is there
any way to check logs to see where it is failing? As you can see the error really
isnt much help, but a log would be invaluable. I am hosted at godaddy and have
   full access to the directory.
 * Thanks.

 * Would say to contact Godaddy support. Am guessing you are not on one of their
free servers which won’t work at all. But have seen all sort of other issues
with regular godaddy hosting. Personal preference but I recommend staying away
   from them completly.
It might also be the email configuration. Been a while
that i did anything with godaddy but remember something where you had to use
smtp mail and not php mail. Used to be a plugin for it. Would first check with
   godaddy tech support.

 * I have had the same problem and get the server 500 error. I have to say the help
at Go Daddy has been useless at best and I am looking for a new host. One email
told me to put a file in the root directory when I email back and asked where
they wanted it I was told “Google It we are not allowed to help”.
    I set the
site up after they set up the server and it worked about a week then the intermittent
issues started and continue to today. Their response is we can not help you or
as I think they are saying go away I want to drink my coffee. I did put the file
they wanted (thanks to an ISP person) in the root file and like others here no
change in the message just the same old ho hum. Too bad some time ago they were
Johnny on the spot and aggressively help any one that used their site. Now the
service level is almost non existent.
