After installing the free version of WP/LR Sync plug-in, I got the following error in Lightroom:

An error occurred while attempting to load this plug-in.
The plug-in description script (Info.lua) is missing.

and it tells me that it is “installed but not working”.
    What can I do?
    Cheers
    Vinz

    Hi,

Are you using Windows or OSX? Seems like it’s slightly simpler with OSX as normally people using it don’t run into this issue.

In the case of OSX, the plugin can normally be a zipped file containing the files of the plugin or the uncompressed directory.

In the case of Windows, it should be uncompressed. You should be able to see the files in the directory, and that directory should be named wplr.lrplugin (actually, it can be whatever follows by ‘.lrplugin’).

Can you try? The plugin itself works fine, I have many Windows (and OSX) users. But I know there is sometimes a little issue with the naming of that directory, and the fact it is (or not) compressed.

    Hey.

    I am using Windows.

I decompressed the file and re-named the folder as told in the FAQ to wplr.lrplugin.

I can also find it in Lightroom and install it but after the installation I get that weird message that this one file: Info.lua is missing.

I looked into the compressed folder and can’t find it there either.

@vinny85 I think you might be using the WordPress plugin directly in your Lightroom, which wouldn’t work. There is no currently free client for Lightroom for WP/LR Sync (that I know of). The only one is the one I made and provide support for, this one: https://store.meowapps.com/products/wplr-sync/.

PS: Virtually, many kinds of service could interface with the WP/LR Sync for WordPress plugin. Another photo editor for instance. That’s just FYI 🙂

Ah okay. I thought I downloaded the one for Lightroom.
Well, I am highly interested since uploading pictures and adding them to folders on my WordPress site annoys me and I felt like your version makes things easier.
I gonna purchase it and hopefully it does what I need >)

I am using Lightroom Classic CC
