 * I used SimpleScripts to install WP v3.4.1 and it seems to work. However, I want
   to add BuddyPress v1.6.1 and its install details say,
 * > WordPress should be installed manually i.e. via FTP, cpanel, etc. and NOT via
   > webhost scripts (fantastico, softalicious, etc.)which bring about numerous
   > issues when BuddyPress is activated.
 * I’m working with my hosting vendor to sort things, but would prefer to press
   on and resolve the issues on my schedule not theirs. **Can someone help me dig
   into the details and discover what is going on?**
 * Thanks in advance,
    ~~~ 0;-Dan
 * **Does anyone know about a test script that reports GO/no-GO for a WordPress
   Install on a hosted server?**
 * It seems that the various pre-install and post-install conditions would all lend
   themselves to script-based testing.
 * Just a thought,
 * Using those scripts can create problem. Most never changes the security salt
   keys, keeps the sample wp-config file intact. Please manually reinstall WordPress.
 * You can check the latest WordPress checklist of requirements and you can test
   with a PHP script as I mentioned here : [http://wordpress.org/support/topic/moved-to-new-vps-and-now-wordpress-site-doesnt-work?replies=15#post-3199455](http://wordpress.org/support/topic/moved-to-new-vps-and-now-wordpress-site-doesnt-work?replies=15#post-3199455)
 * I understand what you want to say. A script that will give a Web Page on browser
   giving simple tick marks, understandable to all. If I do not find a ready made
   one, I will write one and post in WordPress somewhere (plus here). That is not
   very tough to write.
 * Well, I was unable to find any ready made such script. So I created one for you–
   [WordPress Compatibility Checking Script](http://thecustomizewindows.com/2012/10/wordpress-compatibility-checking-script-for-your-web-server/).
   I hope others might find it useful. It has simple tick mark kind of function.
   Anyone can interpret.
