Try confirming your database credentials with your host.

Can you tell me how you actually created a msyql database on your cbeyond hosting? I’m trying to set up a site for a client and I am not seeing a way to create a new database through their control panel. And their tech support is utterly worthless.

    Hello there,

Did you hapen to figure this out? i’m trying to install WordPress to Cbeyond because they default wordpress into a wordpress folder and I NEED it on my root so I am needing to manually do it.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks,
    Lorne

    Please post your own topics.

Since I just got pinged on this topic, I wanted to mention that I was unable to get anywhere with CBeyond tech support and I convinced my client to move to better hosting.

    Thanks for the reply.

That’s unfortunate news, as I know my client won’t want to move from cbeyond. They aren’t the best but I have to deal with them.

Personally I use justhost. It’s the best I’ve come across.
