  • Your link on the login page to Schomburg Heating and Cooling looks like it wants to redirect to a “non-www” address. This is just a wild guess, but would adding the “www” prefix to the addresses in your wordpress dashboard be worth a try? I’m only guessing, mind you…

[edit] “Also won’t let me sign in using my sign in that I use for this site.”

That’s not going to happen. This site(wordpress.org) and your own WordPress installation login credentials aren’t connected in any way.

Preemptive information, just in case you decide to try it:

    Changing The Site URL

One of those methods will work. I recommend the phpMyAdmin method if you have that tool in your control panel.

HI – I can’t get to the control panel, that I know of, since I can’t log in. any ideas on that?
Also, I’ve done a 301 redirect from http://befoundkc.com to http://www.befoundkc.com. There’s no non-www version of my site now.
Once I got to the dashboard, I wouldn’t know how to add the www version of the site.
should I be on another forum?

You will have to change the site URLs in one of the database table named as wp_options.

Access your phpmyadmin and locate the table as wp_options. Click on it and wherever you will find the website URL as http://befoundkc.com, change it to http://www.befoundkc.com

    This should work fine 😉

Hi – thanks for the info – I found where I could get to phpmyadmin and can’t seem to log in there either. I changed the password and tried again, same thing. Tells me it’s invalid, except that I can verify that it’s valid.

    Any other ideas?

You can change the wordpress admin password from phpmyadmin. Locate the table named as wp_users. You will find the admin login row. Click on “Pencil” icon to edit this row. Then insert your desired password in Password field. Select “MD5” from the drop down menu besides Password. And then click on “Go” button to save the changes. After that, you can login to your wordpress admin panel.

    THANKS louis.brandon99 – that worked!!!!
I had to unintall and re-install WP and then do it, but it worked!!

    You are welcome 🙂

Hi everyone, just wanted to say that I had the same problem: Trying to log in, the boxes would go blank, with no error message, nothing.

I tried changing the password through Phpmyadmin first, didn’t work.

Then I added the “www” to the url through Phpmyadmin as ClaytonJames recommended. And it worked!

    Thanks all.
