WP install in subdirectory, but home in root?

  • What is the best article on how to install WP in a subdirectory, but have the homepage up one in the root?

    Thanks,

Yes, that’s what I want, to give WordPress it’s own directory, but have it place the homepage in the root directory.

Are there special instructions during installation to tell wordpress to put itself in the subdirectory, but have the home in the root?

(not sure what WP call the homepage – index.php or something…., sorry)

No. You start by installing WordPress in a sub-folder then follow the instructions at that link to allow it to take over the root domain.
