I tried to login to my blog from my iPad and received an error message: "The password you entered for the username (it stated my correct email address) is incorrect. It wasn't.
When I clicked "Forgot your password?" and input my username--the same one that WP had stated when telling me that my password was incorrect--it told me that there was no such username in the database, so it could not email a reset link.
Oddly enough, I am able to access my site on my computer using the same username and the password I used on my iPad because they are already saved. HOWEVER, when I clear the form and my username and password, I receive the same error messages 1) My password does not match my username and 2) My username does not exist.
This appears to be a unique problem--unless it buried deep, deep down in the forum topics. I am a content professional, not a designer or developer, so I am quite puzzled--particularly by the inability to reset my password because WP inconsistently recognizes my username/email address.
