  • Hey,
I updated WP Geo to the latest version 3.3 and this plugin doesn’t work now too.
An update would be wonderful 😉
    Let Us know…
    Thanks Bernie!

    Hi all,

My plugin doesn’t yet support Google Maps V3. If you upgrade WP Geo to the latest version, it defaults to using Google Maps V3 – you have to go into the WP Geo settings page and specify V2.

Google have extended the time that the V2 API can be use for, giving us another 6 months. They were planning to turn the API off this week. I’m working on a fix, and hope to get it done soon. However, since the deadline has been extended, I’ll take my time and make sure it’s properly tested.

    Hi Bernie,

    Thanks for your replies.

The problem with the fix you suggest is that the WP Geo widget doesn’t work doesn’t work when you select V2 on the new version. I’ve had to downgrade WP Geo to the old version to have both working widgets and Big Map.

Maybe we could test your updated version using the dev page once you’ve started working on it?

    Cheers,

    Hi,

I have started to rewrite the javascript to support the V3 API.

Bernie, it should buy you a few hours on your dev time.

Wanderlusters, you can start testing it

OK, I’ve released an upgrade that adds support for the latest maps API, which should be available through your wordpress admin console (if it isn’t showing up yet, do this: http://www.charlestonsw.com/force-plugin-update-check/ )

Please let me know one way or another whether it works.

    Hi Bernie

Works fine. Thank you for the update.

If I download this plugin, would I be able to embed the JavaScript+HTML code that wrote for my custom Google Map API v3?

Right now I am having trouble trying to figure out where to embed this code.
