• Ever since installing this plugin, my server intermittently keeps going down for a few minutes while the Application Pool crashes and reboots, leaving me with a long load time or a 503 error.

I disabled the plugin, and lo’behold, the crashes happen. I’m gutted about this because I have just got it set up rather nicely and I really enjoy it’s functionality.

Is there anything that can be suggested?

    EDIT:

I might add that there are no errors in the debug, either.

    Zero replies.

If this plugin isn’t enabled, the crashes don’t happen.

I keep having the same issue. Pages don’t load (or time out) intermittently when WP-Filebase is enabled. Deactivate and all goes back to normal. Running Windows 2008 R2 with IIS 7.5.

I’m looking for an alternative right now. If I find one, I’ll post it here for you.

This is annoying, though, because this plugin is REALLY nice and functions exactly how I want it to… except for the crashing my application pool and requiring a restart.

It’s simply not feasible for me to direct traffic to my site when it won’t load whilst using this plugin. I was considering going Pro, even though I don’t need any of the pro features. But I can’t use this.

To the developer, if you read this: I will give you unbridled access to my site and server control panel for you to investigate this.

I agree, I was about to go pro when I realized the plugin is what was killing my site. Fits our needs perfectly, too, as we needed a “Filing Cabinet” page with all folders and files, but then to also show foldered (categorized) content on specific pages from specific categories as well.

@kryten2k35 – did you find a good alternative?

Turns out IIS servers are shit. I moved toa Linux VPS and sorted things out myself. Back to using this plugin now.
