# WP Errors

 * When I went to the Dashboard of my blog just now, I was greeted with the following:
 * > WordPress database error: [Can’t open file: ‘wp_comments.MYI’ (errno: 144)]
   > 
   > SELECT COUNT(*) FROM wp_comments WHERE comment_approved = ‘0’
   > WordPress database error: [Can’t open file: ‘wp_comments.MYI’ (errno: 144)]
   > 
   > SELECT COUNT(comment_ID) FROM wp_comments WHERE comment_approved = ‘spam’
 * I have not made any modifications recently. I am unaware of my host doing anything,
   but I suppose it is possible.
 * Akismet has no messages in it, which is odd. I suspect there is a message that
   may have caused the system to burp.
 * Any thoughts as to how to resolve this?

 * Thanks. It looks like repairing the database did the trick.
