• Hello,
I have had the WP-Email plugin since I first started, and all my websites have it.

I am having a serious problem with it now, after updating to WordPress 2.5 the WP-Email plugin has not worked, and every time you click the link, you get a “Page not found” error.

I have updated the plugin, so I know that is not the problem. It has always worked for me till now.

Your help is greatly appreciated, and I am in desperate need.

Thanks, and if you want to see the error, click my name it will take you too my website.

  • upgrade wp-email to 2.30 and note the tabs on top of the readme.html.

    Not following what you mean,
I already have 2.30 and I believe I did everything under the readme.html tabs, but still having the problem.

    Did you regenerate permalinks?

I’m having the same problem, and I did regenerate the permalinks. Nothing is showing up on my blog.

What is the path to wp-email?

What do you mean by nothing is showing up?

What do you mean by path?
and when you click the “email” link on the bottom of each post, a “not found” page comes up (pop up or eternal).

The path you upload wp-email plugin to? Did you try the default or Date/Time permalink structure?

The plugin is uploaded to the plugins folder.
Also, I am using the 2008/06/06/title-of-this-post/ permalinks.

I am not 100% positive, but yes, I uploaded the plugin to the plugins folder. Is there another part of the plugin i need to upload in another directory?

the path should be /wp-content/plugins/wp-email/ ensure no other sub folders inside it except email.

Hmm, well when i click most of the files in that directory, I get this message:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function add_filter() in /home/sneaker/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-email/email-standalone.php on line 24

or on other files its line 21.

add_filter is a function in WP. Can you try re installing a copy of fresh WP 2.5?

    Thread Starter Brain916

    (@brain916)

So install a fresh copy of 2.5.1?
I will do that and update today,
    Will this fix the problem?

I can’t confirm that but it looks like it has problem loading WP. You are the first to encounter that specific problem.
