[Resolved] WP e-Commerce widgets made available once for sidebars

  • I noticed that the standard WP 3.0+ widgets don’t have any problems when dragged-&-dropped into its default theme’s (TwentyTen) sidebars (via Admin > Appearance > Widgets), especially when they are made available for more than one sidebar. However, this isn’t the case for WP e-Commerce plugin’s widgets. Once, say, the “Shopping Cart” widget is dragged-&-dropped into the “Primary Widget Area” of TwentyTen’s theme, then this widget is no longer made available for other sections.

What could be causing this to happen? Please advise.

    Cheers,
    Jason

  • you might want to use plugin’s shortcodes: link

may i ask why you want to have multiple shopping cart (or something else) widgets?

    Hi pabile,

Thanks for responding. It’s good that brought up that question. Apparently, it’s the theme that I’m using (besides the TwentyTen default theme of WP 3.0) with WP e-Commerce, which comprises of multiple sidebar configurations. It’s rather confusing to say the least.

I hope to discuss this issue with the theme developer, so as to generalise (or rather standardise) the sidebar configuration for both WP and plugin widgets (WP e-Commerce included).

    Cheers,
    Jason
