WP e-Commerce why only three stars

I’m using a theme photocrati theme which has an eCommerce feature but it’s pretty wimpy. I’m looking for a solution with category feature, credit card gateway, search feature, sort feature, and formatting. The WP e-Commerce comes up as most popular and seems to have what I need but only has three stars. I can’t seem to find out where to read the reviews. Does anyone have an opinion of it or suggestions for another plugin?
